It is sometimes useful to create a point at a set distance and direction from another point. One scenario is trying to find a property corner based on a distance and azimuth from a known property corner.

In MobileMap, this is called Projecting accomplished by applying a spatial offset when copying a point feature. To use this toolfunctionality, first select the Identify or Edit tool, then open select the feature layer for the point that marks the starting point. Note that if the starting point is a Plot, and copying of Plots is not allowed (Settings > MobileMap Cruise > Enable Copying of Plots) then only the Identify tool can be used for this workflow. Tap on the origin (starting) point for editing. Use the Draw Edit tool (pencil icon), then select Project Point from the list (other options are Edit Vertices and Draw). This will open up the Project Point dialog.

...

Select the distance units, the distance value, and the direction. Finally, tap Project Point to open. Select the copy tool at the top of the form. When the Copy tool opens, select the target layer from the dropdown list. Next, check the ‘Apply Offset’ checkbox. Finally, select the distance units and enter a distance and degrees (azimuth) for the desired new point. As with standard feature Copy functionality, use the checkboxes to opt out of copying any specific attribute to the feature that will be created.

...

Finally, tap the Copy button to complete the operation. MobileMap will calculate create the new location based on the distance and direction and create a temporary point on the map at the desired location. This point will be symbolized with a yellow triangle.

...

To save this point, open it for editing (as you would with any edit operation) and populate relevant fields, then save the featurePoint feature and open up the attribute form to enable update of the attributes for this new Point.
