MobileMap has undergone a lot of changes from 4.x to 5.0. The biggest change is the switch to ESRI’s sync framework. How Feature Service data is handled and managed has changed a lot because of this. This page should include most of the functionality that has changed with this updated but may not include everything.
Offline data workflow:
Feature Services that were configured for MobileMap 4.x will need to be sync enabled if not enabled already.
Only one Feature Service can be downloaded at a time. This means there will only be one offline Geodatabase for the currently downloaded Feature Service.
Download Parameters have been replaced with “Configure Offline Geodatabase Parameters”. These parameters are only set upon the initial download/generation of the offline Geodatabase. This change means that once a Geodatabase is configured, the features that were excluded will never be included for any downloading of features for the offline Geodatabase.
“Initialize Database” is now gone. This feature is no longer needed. A feature service is downloaded with any Features that were not excluded.
Other changes:
Signing out of ArcGIS is now available. Simply click the “LOGOUT OF ARCGIS” button from the Select Action screen when you are already logged in to MobileMap through ArcGIS.
