Overview
Starting at MobileMap 5.0, automated data backups utilize ESRI’s Delta Geodatabase format. The steps below will guide you through recovering data from a Delta Geodatabase in the event that your device is damaged or otherwise unable to upload data.
Creating Delta Geodatabase

From the “Offline Geodatabase Info” screen, you should see a “Last exported:” and “Last exported file location:”. The “Last exported file location:” will tell you where to navigate to access your backup file:

Copy this file to your local machinePC. This file will be used in the next step to perform the database backup.

Once the Delta Geodatabase has been transferred from the device to the user’s local machinePC, InventoryManager’s “MM Backup” tool may be used to perform the database backupupload from the Delta Geodatabase.
Log on to InventoryManager for the Feature Service that needs backing up. Login as the using the same ArcGIS user who generated the Geodatabase originallywas used in MobileMap when generating the offline Geodatabase. Once the user is logged in, they should select the “MM Backup” button:

Then, select the “Choose File” button:
Select Navigate to the Delta Geodatabase file that was transferred over to your local machine from your device. Once you have selected your file, click “Run Backup”:

Once the backup has been initiated, status updates will then read out. Once the status update reads “Completed”, the database should have been successfully backed up:
To verify that data changes, check the data in ArcGIS to verify that everything was backed up successfullyOnce the process is completed, use the map interface in InventoryManager to verify that the changes were successfully uploaded from the Delta Geodatabase.
